How do I open/subscribe to receive Prodigio RTS?
You must go to our website and click on the Open Account/ Free Trial tab and complete your free application.
Does Prodigio RTS offer education or training classes to learn the software?
Yes. Before you begin trading, please visit and review the Prodigio RTS Learning Center within the platform for further helpful platform information and tutorials. How do I log in to Prodigio RTS?
To launch your Prodigio RTS platform, first simply launch your thinkorswim platform by entering your Username and Password. Once your thinkorswim platform is open, select the Trade tab or Tools tab on your thinkorswim platform. Click the Prodigio button in the upper right of the platform screen and launch your Prodigio platform. Prodigio Live Trading is launched via thinkorswim Live Trading mode. Prodigio PaperMoney Trading is launched via thinkorswim PaperMoney mode.
What is robotic trading?
Robotic trading is a sophisticated fully automated system that is capable of intelligently scanning across thousands of ticks, quotes and market conditions, filtering through all for buy and sell opportunities, initiating trades, and managing positions, profits and risk entirely within its own system. The Prodigio trading system is unique in that Users benefit from deploying complete robotic automated trading and or a combination of robotic and User manual trading.
Do I need to know programming?
No. Prodigio RTS is a trading environment, and is geared toward traders not programmers. The Prodigio RTS will allow you to enable custom trading strategies without ever having to write any code.
Do I have to trade myself?
No. All you need to do is select one (1) or more of the automated predefined strategies and select the risk protocols that are right for you. At any time you may participate in the trade management should you choose to do so.
How much does it cost to open/ subscribe to an account?
The Prodigio RTS platform is FREE to qualified thinkorswim account holders provided that account minimums are maintained.
What is the minimum funding amount required to start trading?

Are there minimum balances and trading or volume requirements in order to utilize the Prodigio RTS trading platform?

Please note that NYSE/FINRA requires stock "pattern day-traders" to have a minimum equity of $25,000.
What are thinkorswim’s commission rates for my account using Prodigio RTS?
The Prodigio RTS platform by TD Ameritrade is Free to all qualified thinkorswim account holders. Account minimums must be maintained (See Account Terms). thinkorswim commission rates are established by your thinkorswim account preference. Per Share Commission is offered $.015 per share ($5.00 minimum) OR Flat Fee Trading $9.95 per trade (market or limit orders; 5,000 shares maximum). (See Trading Rates)
You may set your default stock commission choice in the "setup" window within the thinkorswim software or web Based Trading trading applications or choose to change the commission rate for a particular trade at the time you place an order.
Does Prodigio RTS charge for software or market data?
No. Prodigio RTS does not charge for software or market data.
Can I run more than one Prodigio strategy at a time?
Yes. Prodigio RTS allows you to select one or more automated strategies at the same time and set them as your default.
Can I initiate my own intraday trades on the platform?
Yes. Prodigio offers Users a powerful Order Management System permitting both manual trading execution as well as manual/ automated trading execution.
Can I place orders/ trades over the phone?
No.
I don’t see any trades being put on. What’s wrong?
Prodigio RTS run real-time scans every second of the trading day beginning at 9:30am EST through 4:00pm EST. Prodigio trades are not scheduled systematic trades with certain trade number requirements. Here are a few checks to be sure that you are ready to receive trades;
- Trades may only occur during market hours during normal trading days.
- Most trade alerts occur more frequently during the morning hours of 9:35am EST to 12:30pm EST. However, fewer occur during the afternoon session of 12:30pm EST to 4:00pm EST.
- Be sure that you have selected one (1) or more trade strategies to run found under the Strategy/ Risk Protocols tab.
- Some strategy methodologies are very specific. You may have made legitimate strategy selection(s) but no trade set-ups match your strategy selection today. Often when a user desires more trade set-ups, two (2) or more strategies selections are best selected.
How much of strain are your alerts on computer resources? Please provide a number in your answer.
Prodigio RTS servers do all of the heavy data crunching on the Prodigio RTS server-side analysis servers behind the scenes (not on the client-side). Then, Prodigio only displays the real-time results on the client GUI (your computer). The result is little impact on client system resources utilizing about 40-50 megabytes of ram memory to display a client interface GUI on a personal computer.
Is Prodigio RTS like a black box?
The answer would be yes by definition and methodology. The technology behind the Prodigio RTS alert server is similar to a black box. It receives all price data on all relevant stocks in real time. It compares this data to specifically designed and known patterns, which are confirmed by both real-time and historical data. It reports when there is a pattern match, in real time. The output is far more concise than the input because of all the filtering.
Is Prodigio RTS like a stock screener?
No. Prodigio RTS examines some of the same data as some possible stock screeners, and there could be some similarities in the types of analysis. However, the methodology is completely different in that far more sophisticated computational analysis is performed on a tick by tick basis, executing real-time position selection, order management, and risk management across more than 5,000 actively trading symbols in millisecond timeframes. In our opinion most stock screeners can't and don't offer this level of computational power.
